Stairlifts come in two different configurations. Straight stairlifts for straight staircases and curved stairlifts for staircases that have landings and turns.
Pricing for these vary greatly with straight stairlifts being the least expensive starting at $3,500 installed and going up to $7,000 depending on whether it is for outdoors or the options added such as powered folding rail, power swivel seat, powered footrest etc. Or if your staircase is longer in length than standard (this adds very little or nothing with us).

Curved stairlifts are custom made for your staircase. We also have a modular system that can be installed in a week in some cases. These stairlifts start at $8,500 and can go up to $18 or $19,000 depending on the complexity, amount of turns and options chosen. Our most popular curved stairlift is well below this usually, and features a lifetime warranty on all parts!, the only one to do so in the industry, and a powered swivel and custom upholstery and rail colors as standard with quick delivery. We also have a custom stairlift made to fit perfect at time of installation and can be installed within days!!
Because these are custom made, we usually use a camera system and targets that are placed on the staircase and any wall obstructions. The manufacturer then generates a drawing from this which is sent to the customer and if everything looks okay it will go into production for a quick turnaround. The manufacturer guarantees a perfect fit on your staircase with this system.

Straight Stairlifts we keep in stock for quick installations. The rail they travel on will be cut to the length needed for your staircase. These are the least expensive. There are choices from different manufacturers. Choose one that has a great dealer network and reputation in the market. We also include a labor warranty as standard with all of our installations.
The options on a straight stairlift are sometimes necessary such as: - A hinged rail which might be needed if there is a doorway at the bottom that would interfere with the rail, or if there is an open hallway where someone could trip over the rail if it is intruding into the space.
- A Powered swivel seat if you would like to rotate the seat at the top of the staircase automatically with the push of the toggle switch on the arm of the chair. Our most popular curved stairlift has this as a standard feature at the top and bottom of the staircase.
- A powered folding footplate, some of the stairlifts we sell have other automatic mechanical levers so you wont have to bend down to fold the chair, but you can also have this powered, so it folds with the push of a button and avoids having to bend down.
Some stairlifts have choices of upholstery colors as well as an option or standard.
We have the American made Bruno stairlifts in stock. This is a family-owned company that stands behind their products with a great warranty and even a 30-day labor warranty. As a dealer we extend this labor warranty for peace of mind and the fact that we believe in the products we sell and and with our experience in the market and having dealt with all brands over 25 years we absolutely know which are the stairlifts you can count on as far as reliability. Which is good for our customers but also for our business and reputation in our local community.
Some stairlifts are advertised for self-installation or on tv from direct sales companies. Do your homework, because they often sell at an extremely inflated price to pay for all their marketing and try to upsell warranties that are not needed. Even monitoring for a monthly fee for your stairlift, which is another unnecessary expense, designed to make the most profit from a sale. When time comes for service or installation the person you dealt with might no longer be there because they often call on independent traveling installers that only care about a quick installation and you often won’t see them back.
Choose a stairlift manufacturer that has a solid dealer network so that even in the future you will never be stranded without service. Good manufacturers also make sure their dealers and installers are certified and have the knowledge to do the work.
Because of our experience of over 25 years and quality manufacturers we represent, we also include a labor warranty as standard with all of our stairlift installations.
Commonly asked questions:
Is the stairlift mounted to the wall?
No, the stairlifts use very few brackets that are screwed directly into the steps of your staircase. No modifications are necessary and the stairlift can be easily removed in the future without any visible damage.
Do I need to install an outlet?
Stairlifts can use any standard outlet at the top or bottom of the staircase or even use one around the corner of a bedroom or room downstairs. We can usually always find a nearby outlet and hide the cord.
Will it run if there is a power outage?
Yes, stairlifts run on battery power. Two batteries run the stairlift on 24V and these get charged by a trickle charger. If you have a power outage you can usually still use the stairlift sometimes up to a week or longer depending on how often you use it.Batteries normally last 3 to 5 years (sometimes even longer) and are inexpensive to replace and readily available. We carry replacement batteries in stock for most models.
How long does it take to install a stairlift? Both straight and curved / custom stairlifts can be installed in 2 to 4 hours with little disruption. We usually prepare the rail in our shop for our straight stairlift installations so no cutting needs to be done on site.
